When he felt the body in his arms tense, Duo was about to let him go. Wufei was stable now, he didn't need to be held. But then his friend went and had to look at him like that, and Duo felt like he was sinking down into that dark gaze. For once in his life he was without words. Which was probably a good thing because he would have put his foot in his mouth and earned a punch for his troubles.

As it stood, when he got wasn't a punch to the jaw but a kiss that caused his heart to skip and the arm that had been intending to release Wufei tighten instead.

"Wu..." It was the only word he said, the only thing he could say, before he leaned in, just as Wufei did, but it wasn't the jaw that was his destination. Duo covered Wufei's lips with his own in the softest of kisses, unsure of himself and whether he should, but wanting to all the same.
