Wufei nodded, and let go of Duo so he could reach for his shirt, unbuttoning it to show the skin beneath. There were plenty of scars, sure, almost all ones that Duo would easily recognize, and nothing that indicated the devastating wound he could remember being inflicted with before arrival.
"Right here," he presses his hand to his chest. It was on the lower left portion of his rib cage. Far enough from the heart to not be an instant kill, to explain how he knew he'd been hit by something nasty. Far enough that there was a chance, a very tiny chance, that the wound might've been survivable. But there was no mark. No scar, no pink area, nothing that matched the wound he'd felt. It was like it never even happened.
"I hope it was, too. Or that this is some afterlife that we'll never have to leave," he agrees, and leans in for a kiss. "I think I could get used to forever with you."
